In Friday's non-league match, the host Lacey Township Lions football squad scored a good 28-8 triumph over the Manchester Township Hawks.

The Lions now have a 1-2 record. They play next when they host Barnegat for a Shore - C South challenge on Friday, September 19. Lacey Township will face a Bengals team coming off a 7-0 league loss to Toms River East (Toms River, NJ). The Bengals record now stands at 2-1.

The Hawks (0-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Central Regional (Bayville, NJ). The Golden Eagles go into the Shore - B South test with a 2-1 record. In their last test, Central Regional was defeated by Southern Regional (Manahawkin, NJ), 37-0, in a league test.
