In Friday's league game, the Williams Valley Vikings (Tower City, PA) football team edged the host Minersville Battlin' Miners (Minersville, PA), by a score of 43-40.

In their next game, the Vikings face the Tri-Valley Bulldogs (Hegins, PA) in a Colonial-Schuylkill - C outing, on Friday, September 19. Williams Valley will attempt to move on its 4-0 season record.
