California High School Football - California sneaks past Monterey Trail
September 12, 2025: Elk Grove, CA 95624 In Friday's non-league match, the visiting California Grizzlies football squad scored a close 41-38 triumph over the Monterey Trail Mustangs.
The Grizzlies (3-0) will now prepare for their match against Menlo-Atherton (Atherton, CA). The Bears come into the non-league match with a 0-3 record. In their last match, Menlo-Atherton was nudged by Archbishop Mitty (San Jose, CA), 14-13, in a non-league match.
Coming up next, the Mustangs meet the Laguna Creek Cardinals (Elk Grove, CA) in a challenge, on Friday, September 19. Monterey Trail will attempt to improve on its 1-1 season record. The Cardinals go into the challenge with a 0-2 record after their 51-6 non-league loss to Placer (Auburn, CA).
