The North Eugene Highlanders football squad scored 27 points and limited the visiting South Eugene Axe to 6 in the Highlanders league triumph on Friday.

The Highlanders now hold a 1-2 record. They take the field next when they host Eagle Point for a 5A Special District 4 test on Friday, September 20. North Eugene will meet a Eagles squad coming off a 42-0 league loss to Thurston (Springfield, OR). The Eagles record now stands at 0-3.

With the defeat, South Eugene drops to 0-2 on the campaign. The Axe host Willamette (Eugene, OR) to meet the Wolverines in a 5A Special District 4 test on Friday, September 20.
