In Saturday's non-league challenge, the host Dodd City Hornets volleyball team scored a 2-0 victory over the Chico Dragons.

The Hornets (7-4) will now prepare for their test against Collinsville (Collinsville, TX). The Pirates go into the non-league test with a 18-8 record. In their last test, Collinsville achieved victory over Calvary Academy (Denton, TX), 3-0, in a non-league test.

The Dragons now own a 9-14 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Nocona for a non-league test on Tuesday, September 16. Chico will face a Indians squad coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Lindsay (Lindsay, TX). The Indians record now stands at 17-12.
