In Saturday's non-league challenge, the host Taft Wildcats volleyball team scored a close 2-1 triumph over the Golden Valley Grizzlies.

The Wildcats (5-16) will now prepare for their challenge against Arvin (Arvin, CA). The Bears come into the non-league challenge with a 13-7 record. In their last challenge, Arvin edged Vasquez (Acton, CA), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.
