The Solon Spartans volleyball squad (Solon, IA), was edged 2-1 in Saturday's non-league battle with the visiting Pleasant Valley Spartans (Pleasant Valley, IA)

With the win, Pleasant Valley upgrades its record to 12-4 on the year. The Spartans travel to Kennedy (Cedar Rapids, IA) to meet the Cougars in a non-league contest on Saturday, September 13. The Cougars enter the contest with a record of 6-5. Kennedy lost 3-0 in their recent non-league contest against Liberty (North Liberty, IA)
