September 15, 2021: Franklin, GA 30217 The crowd at Wednesday's non-league match between the Central Lions (Carrollton, GA) and the host Heard County Braves (Franklin, GA), saw Central's softball squad nip Heard County by a count of 4-1.
The Lions now sport a 18-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Northwest Whitfield for a AAAA Region 7 match on Tuesday, September 21. Central will face a Bruins squad coming off a 7-4 non-league win over Calhoun (Calhoun, GA). The Bruins record now stands at 15-5.
With the loss, Heard County falls to 7-4 on the campaign. The Braves travel to Ringgold (Ringgold, GA) to face the Tigers in a non-league match on Friday, September 17. The Tigers enter the match with a record of 8-5. Ringgold lost 8-2 in their recent league match against LaFayette (LaFayette, GA)
