September 16, 2022: Homer, AK 99603 Homer Mariners (Homer, AK) fans left the game content Friday as they saw their football team rout the visiting Barrow Whalers (Utqiagvik, AK), 58-20 in a league test.
With the triumph, Homer improves its record to 5-1 on the campaign. The Mariners travel to Nikiski (Nikiski, AK) to confront the Bulldogs in a non-league test on Friday, September 23. The Bulldogs come into the test with a record of 2-1. Nikiski won 42-7 in their recent league test against Ben Eielson (Eielson AFB, AK)
With the loss, Barrow drops to 2-2 on the campaign. The Whalers host Redington (Wasilla, AK) to face the Huskies in a Mid Alaska bout on Saturday, September 24. The Huskies enter the bout with a record of 0-5. Redington lost 27-14 in their recent league bout against Kenai Central (Kenai, AK)
