Virginia High School Football - Godwin tops Hanover
September 18, 2024: Mechanicsville, VA 23116 The Godwin Eagles football squad scored 35 points and limited the host Hanover Hawks to 16 in the Eagles non-league triumph on Wednesday.
The Eagles now sport a 4-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Hermitage for a non-league test on Thursday, September 26. Godwin will meet a Panthers squad coming off a 58-0 non-league win over Patrick Henry (Ashland, VA). The Panthers record now stands at 1-2.
With the defeat, Hanover drops to 2-1 on the campaign. The Hawks host Mechanicsville (Mechanicsville, VA) to meet the Mustangs in a non-league test on Thursday, October 10. The Mustangs come into the test with a record of 0-4.
