Nebraska High School Football - Hitchcock County tops Overton

September 18, 2025: Trenton, NE 69044

The Hitchcock County Falcons football squad scored 28 points and limited the visiting Overton Eagles to 7 in the Falcons league win on Thursday.

In their next game, the Falcons face the Bertrand Vikings (Bertrand, NE) in a D2 District 8 (8 Man) challenge, on Friday, September 26. Hitchcock County will attempt to move on its 4-0 season record. The Vikings come into the test with a 3-1 record after their 56-6 league loss to Cambridge (Cambridge, NE).

With the defeat, Overton drops to 2-2 on the campaign. The Eagles host Maywood/Hayes Center (Maywood, NE) to meet the Wolves in a D2 District 8 (8 Man) test on Friday, September 26. The Wolves come into the test with a record of 0-4. Maywood/Hayes Center lost 52-0 in their recent league challenge against Loomis (Loomis, NE)
