Texas High School Football - Waskom wallops Union Grove

September 18, 2025: Waskom, TX 75692

The Waskom Wildcats football squad scored 54 points and limited the visiting Union Grove Lions to 21 in the Wildcats league triumph on Thursday.

The Wildcats now hold a 3-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Ore City for a 2A-1 Region III District 10 challenge on Friday, September 26. Waskom will face a Rebels team coming off a 31-0 league win over Big Sandy (Big Sandy, TX). The Rebels record now stands at 3-1.

The Lions (3-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Hawkins (Hawkins, TX). The Hawks go into the 2A-1 Region III District 10 challenge with a 3-1 record. In their last challenge, Hawkins was ripped by Elysian Fields (Elysian Fields, TX), 39-14, in a league challenge.
