The North Johnston Panthers edged the host Eastern Wayne Warriors football team by a score of 42-36 in Thursday's non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Panthers face the North Pitt Panthers (Bethel, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, September 25. North Johnston will attempt to improve on its 4-1 season record. The Panthers come into the test with a 4-0 record after their 22-0 non-league win over West Craven (Vanceboro, NC).

With the defeat, Eastern Wayne drops to 1-2 on the campaign. The Warriors travel to North Lenoir (LaGrange, NC) to clash with the Hawks in a non-league test on Thursday, September 25. The Hawks come into the test with a record of 0-3. North Lenoir lost 38-20 in their recent non-league test against SouthWest Edgecombe (Pinetops, NC)
