Asheboro Blue Comets (Asheboro, NC) followers left the game satisfied Thursday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the host Ledford Panthers (Thomasville, NC), 3-1 in a league test.

With the win, Asheboro advances its record to 11-3 on the season. The Blue Comets travel to Southwestern Randolph (Asheboro, NC) to face the Cougars in a non-league test on Monday, September 23. The Cougars go into the test with a record of 8-8. Southwestern Randolph won 3-2 in their recent league test against Providence Grove (Franklinville, NC)

The Panthers now sport a 4-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to North Davidson for a Mid-Piedmont 3A test on Tuesday, September 24. Ledford will face a Black Knights squad coming off a 3-1 non-league loss to West Davidson (Lexington, NC). The Black Knights record now stands at 4-11.
