September 19, 2025: Cavalier, ND 58220 In Friday's league match, the host Cavalier Tornadoes football squad scored a close 26-24 triumph over the North Star co-op [Cando/Bisbee-Egeland] Bearcats.
The Tornadoes (2-3) will now prepare for their match against Four Winds (Fort Totten, ND). The Indians come into the 9-Man Region 2 (9 Man) match with a 4-1 record. In their last match, Four Winds tipped Nelson County co-op [Lakota/Dakota Prairie] (Lakota, ND), 36-20, in a league match.
Next up, the Bearcats play the North Prairie co-op [Rolla/Rolette] Cougars (Rolla, ND) in a 9-Man Region 2 (9 Man) battle, on Friday, September 26. North Star co-op [Cando/Bisbee-Egeland] will attempt to improve on its 0-4 season record. The Cougars go into the battle with a 3-2 record after their 62-36 league loss to New Rockford-Sheyenne/Maddock (New Rockford, ND).
