In Friday's league game, the Independence Eagles (Thompson's Station, TN) football team were victorious over the visiting Coffee County Central Red Raiders (Manchester, TN), by a score of 35-6.

In their next game, the Eagles face the Franklin Admirals (Franklin, TN) in a 6A Region 6 game, on Friday, September 26. Independence will attempt to improve on its 2-2 season record. The Admirals enter the game with a 1-4 record after their 42-10 league loss to Ravenwood (Brentwood, TN).

The Red Raiders (2-3) will now prepare for their game against Smyrna (Smyrna, TN). The Bulldogs enter the non-league game with a 2-3 record. In their last game, Smyrna ran past Rockvale (Rockvale, TN), 41-11, in a league game.
