The crowd at Friday's league contest between the McCool Junction Mustangs (McCool Junction, NE) and the visiting East Butler Tigers (Brainard, NE), witnessed McCool Junction's football squad topple East Butler by a tally of 30-22.

The Mustangs (3-1) will now prepare for their contest against Mead (Mead, NE). The Raiders go into the D1 District 6 (8 Man) bout with a 3-1 record. In their last bout, Mead overcame Centennial (Utica, NE), 48-22, in a league bout.

The Tigers now own a 3-1 record. They play next when they travel to Shelby-Rising City for a D1 District 6 (8 Man) match on Friday, September 26. East Butler will meet a Huskies squad coming off a 38-0 league win over Heartland (Henderson, NE). The Huskies record now stands at 4-0.
