The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Flowery Branch Falcons (Flowery Branch, GA) and the visiting Eastside Eagles (Covington, GA), witnessed Flowery Branch's football squad edge Eastside by a tally of 32-28.

The Falcons (4-1) will now prepare for their contest against East Forsyth (Gainesville, GA). The Broncos enter the AAAA Region 8 contest with a 3-2 record. In their last contest, East Forsyth was tipped by North Oconee (Bogart, GA), 41-6, in a league battle.

The Eagles now own a 2-3 record. They play next when they host Madison County for a AAAA Region 8 battle on Friday, September 26. Eastside will play a Red Raiders team coming off a 44-7 non-league loss to Jackson County (Jefferson, GA). The Red Raiders record now stands at 3-1.
