Kansas High School Football - Maize South thwarted by Valley Center

Valley Center Hornets (Valley Center, KS) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the host Maize South Mavericks (Wichita, KS), 35-14 in a league battle.

With the win, Valley Center improves its record to 2-1 on the season. The Hornets travel to Andover Central (Andover, KS) to play the Jaguars in a non-league battle on Friday, September 26. The Jaguars go into the battle with a record of 2-1. Andover Central won 35-14 in their recent league battle against Arkansas City (Arkansas City, KS)

The Mavericks now have a 2-1 record. They play next when they travel to Haysville Campus for a Ark Valley-Chisholm Trail Division I match on Friday, September 26. Maize South will meet a Colts squad coming off a 62-13 non-league loss to Salina Central (Salina, KS). The Colts record now stands at 0-3.
