North Carolina High School Football - Union Pines triumphant over West Johnston

The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Union Pines Vikings (Cameron, NC) and the host West Johnston Wildcats (Benson, NC), witnessed Union Pines's football squad wallop West Johnston by a count of 38-6.

The Vikings (3-1) will now prepare for their contest against South Johnston (Four Oaks, NC). The Trojans enter the Carolina Pines 6A contest with a 2-2 record. In their last contest, South Johnston was routed by Harnett Central (Angier, NC), 28-24, in a league battle.

The Wildcats now own a 1-3 record. They play next when they travel to Lee County for a Carolina Pines 6A battle on Friday, September 26. West Johnston will encounter a Yellow Jackets team coming off a 20-7 league win over Triton (Erwin, NC). The Yellow Jackets record now stands at 2-2.
