In Friday's league game, the Sheldon Irish (Eugene, OR) football team triumphed over the host North Medford Black Tornado (Medford, OR), by a tally of 40-7.

In their next game, the Irish face the McNary Celtics (Keizer, OR) in a 6A Special District 1 test, on Friday, September 27. Sheldon will attempt to upgrade on its 3-0 season record. The Celtics come into the test with a 0-3 record after their 42-0 league loss to Sprague (Salem, OR).

With the defeat, North Medford drops to 1-2 on the campaign. The Black tornado travel to West Salem (Salem, OR) to meet the Titans in a 6A Special District 1 test on Thursday, September 26.
