The Bulldogs (5-0) will now prepare for their contest against Valparaiso (Valparaiso, IN). The Vikings enter the non-league contest with a 1-1 record. In their last match, Valparaiso routed Chesterton (Chesterton, IN), 14-6, in a league match.
In their next game, the Indians play the Merrillville Pirates (Merrillville, IN) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, September 20. Portage will attempt to improve on its 1-3 season record. The Pirates go into the challenge with a 0-1 record after their 22-6 non-league loss to Crown Point (Crown Point, IN).
