September 22, 2022: Camilla, GA 31730 The Baker County Bears football team (Newton, GA), was beaten 58-30 in Thursday's non-league challenge with the host Westwood Wildcats (Camilla, GA)
The Wildcats (2-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Crisp Academy (Cordele, GA). The Wildcats come into the GIAA 8-Man Region 2 (8 Man) challenge with a 0-5 record. In their last challenge, Crisp Academy was beaten by Covenant Academy (Macon, GA), 44-14, in a league challenge.
The Bears now sport a 1-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Calhoun County for a A D2 Region 1A challenge on Friday, September 30. Baker County will meet a Cougars team coming off a 1-0 non-league win over Vidalia Heritage Academy (Vidalia, GA). The Cougars record now stands at 3-0.
