Ponderosa Bruins (Shingle Springs, CA) followers went home in high spirits Monday as they saw their flag football team smash the visiting Rio Americano Raiders (Sacramento, CA), 46-0 in a league match.

The Bruins (8-5) will now prepare for their match against Vista del Lago (Folsom, CA). The Eagles come into the Capital Valley Conference match with a 11-2 record. In their last match, Vista del Lago routed Folsom (Folsom, CA), 43-0, in a non-league match.

Coming up next, the Raiders confront the Inderkum Tigers (Sacramento, CA) in a Capital Valley Conference match, on Wednesday, September 24. Rio Americano will attempt to improve on its 6-8 season record. The Tigers go into the battle with a 6-5 record after their 32-13 league loss to Woodcreek (Roseville, CA).
