In Friday's non-league game, the Alexandria Trojans (Alexandria, LA) football team were victorious over the visiting East Ascension Spartans (Gonzales, LA), by a score of 40-28.

The Trojans (2-2) will now prepare for their game against Green Oaks (Shreveport, LA). The Giants come into the non-league game with a 1-3 record. In their last game, Green Oaks was knocked off by Peabody (Alexandria, LA), 18-13, in a non-league game.

The Spartans now sport a 1-3 record. They take the field next when they host De La Salle for a non-league game on Friday, September 30. East Ascension will battle a Cavalier team coming off a 27-14 non-league win over St. Charles Catholic (LaPlace, LA). The Cavalier record now stands at 4-0.
