September 23, 2022: Pikeville, KY 41501 The Shelby Valley Wildcats (Pikeville, KY) football routed the visiting West Carter Comets (Olive Hill, KY), 54-21 in Friday's league bout.
In their next game, the Wildcats clash with the Prestonsburg Black Cats (Prestonsburg, KY) in a 2A District 8 bout, on Friday, September 30. Shelby Valley will attempt to move on its 3-2 season record. The Black Cats enter the bout with a 3-0 record after their 33-28 non-league win over Floyd Central (Eastern, KY).
The Comets (0-5) will now prepare for their bout against Bath County (Owingsville, KY). The Wildcats enter the 2A District 8 bout with a 1-4 record. In their last bout, Bath County was crushed by Martin County (Inez, KY), 46-0, in a league bout.
