Loyd Star Hornets (Brookhaven, MS) fans left the game satisfied Friday as they observed their football team run past the visiting Stringer Red Devils (Stringer, MS), 33-15 in a non-league test.

With the win, Loyd Star improves its record to 6-0 on the season. The Hornets host East Marion (Columbia, MS) to confront the Eagles in a 2A Region 7 test on Friday, October 1. The Eagles go into the test with a record of 1-4. East Marion lost 25-6 in their recent non-league test against Northeast Jones (Laurel, MS)

With the loss, Stringer moves to 1-5 on the season. The Red devils host Collins (Collins, MS) to confront the Tigers in a 2A Region 8 test on Friday, October 1. The Tigers go into the test with a record of 1-3. Collins lost 35-2 in their recent non-league test against Mendenhall (Mendenhall, MS)
