The West Potomac Wolverines football squad (Alexandria, VA), was trounced 35-3 in Friday's league contest with the visiting Fairfax Lions (Fairfax, VA)

The Lions (3-2) will now prepare for their contest against South County (Lorton, VA). The Stallions enter the Patriot contest with a 1-3 record. In their last contest, South County was trounced by West Springfield (Springfield, VA), 28-27, in a league contest.

Coming up next, the Wolverines confront the Hayfield Hawks (Alexandria, VA) in a non-league contest, on Friday, October 3. West Potomac will attempt to better on its 1-3 season record. The Hawks enter the contest with a 1-3 record after their 15-6 league win over Edison (Alexandria, VA).
