The Lincoln Southwest Silver Hawks football squad scored 56 points and limited the host South Sioux City Cardinals to 0 in the Silver Hawks league triumph on Friday.

The Silver Hawks now sport a 1-4 record. They take the field next when they host Lincoln Northeast for a A District 5 test on Thursday, October 2. Lincoln Southwest will meet a Rockets squad coming off a 42-7 league loss to Omaha North (Omaha, NE). The Rockets record now stands at 4-1.

With the defeat, South Sioux City drops to 1-4 on the campaign. The Cardinals travel to Bellevue West (Bellevue, NE) to meet the Thunderbirds in a A District 5 test on Friday, October 3. The Thunderbirds come into the test with a record of 2-3. Bellevue West won 78-0 in their recent league test against Buena Vista (Omaha, NE)
