September 27, 2023: Kankakee, IL 60901 The crowd at Wednesday's non-league bout between the Kankakee Kays (Kankakee, IL) and the visiting Gardner-South Wilmington Panthers (Gardner, IL), saw Kankakee's volleyball squad beat Gardner-South Wilmington by a tally of 2-0.
With the win, Kankakee upgrades its record to 14-7 on the year. The Kays host Grace Christian Academy (Kankakee, IL) to play the Crusaders in a non-league bout on Monday, October 2. The Crusaders go into the bout with a record of 10-7. Grace Christian Academy won 2-1 in their recent league bout against Momence (Momence, IL)
The Panthers now own a 5-14 record. They play next when they host Illinois Lutheran for a River Valley bout on Thursday, September 28. Gardner-South Wilmington will play a Chargers squad coming off a 2-1 non-league loss to Luther Prep (Watertown, WI). The Chargers record now stands at 6-14.
