September 27, 2024: Yorktown, TX 78164 The Yorktown Wildcats football squad scored 57 points and limited the visiting Bruni Badgers to 0 in the Wildcats non-league triumph on Friday.
The Wildcats now hold a 4-1 record. They take the field next when they host Pettus for a 2A-2 Region IV District 15 test on Friday, October 11. Yorktown will meet a Eagles squad coming off a 48-18 non-league loss to Ben Bolt (Ben Bolt, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 0-5.
With the defeat, Bruni drops to 1-4 on the campaign. The Badgers host John Paul II (Corpus Christi, TX) to meet the Centurions in a non-league test on Friday, October 4. The Centurions come into the test with a record of 0-4. John Paul II lost 30-20 in their recent non-league test against Somerset Academy Collegiate (San Antonio, TX)
