The crowd at Saturday's league contest between the Junipero Serra Padres (San Mateo, CA) and the host Valley Christian Warriors (San Jose, CA), witnessed Junipero Serra's football squad wallop Valley Christian by a tally of 41-6.

The Padres (1-3) will now prepare for their bout against St. Ignatius College Preparatory (San Francisco, CA). The Wildcats go into the West Catholic bout with a 1-3 record. In their last contest, St. Ignatius College Preparatory was routed by Archbishop Mitty (San Jose, CA), 37-23, in a league contest.

Coming up next, the Warriors confront the Archbishop Mitty Monarchs (San Jose, CA) in a West Catholic match, on Friday, October 3. Valley Christian will attempt to upgrade on its 2-2 season record. The Monarchs go into the battle with a 3-1 record after their 37-23 league win over St. Ignatius College Preparatory (San Francisco, CA).
