Ohio High School Volleyball - Perrysburg over Northview
September 28, 2023: Sylvania, OH 43560 Perrysburg Yellow Jackets (Perrysburg, OH) supporters left the game in high spirits Thursday as they observed their volleyball squad top the host Northview Wildcats (Sylvania, OH), 3-1 in a league match.
Next up, the Yellow Jackets clash with the Magnificat Blue Streaks (Rocky River, OH) in a non-league match, on Saturday, September 30. Perrysburg will attempt to advance on its 13-4 season record. The Blue Streaks come into the match with a 10-7 record after their 3-1 non-league loss to St. Joseph Academy (Cleveland, OH).
With the loss, Northview drops to 8-7 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Central Catholic (Toledo, OH) to clash with the Fighting Irish in a non-league match on Saturday, September 30. SYLVANIA - The second match-up of Perrysburg vs. Northview in the NLL Buckeye Division, the Jackets were able to top the Wildcats 3-1, pushing Northview to 8-7, 6-4 NLL (2-3 in the Buckeye Division).
Northview was led by 11 kills and 14 digs from Natalie Kerchevall, 10 kills from Claire Smith and 7 kills from Zoe Denny. Senior setter, Hannah Schoen, dished out her 1,000th career assist and 35 total on the night. Jordyn Pakulski had a team-high 16 digs and Hannah Davis added 13 digs.
Northview returns to action on Saturday as they travel to Central Catholic.
