The crowd at Thursday's non-league test between the Champion Golden Flashes (Warren, OH) and the visiting Mathews Mustangs (Vienna, OH), saw Champion's soccer squad get by Mathews by a margin of 3-2.

The Golden Flashes now sport a 8-2 record. They play next when they travel to Memorial for a Mahoning Valley Athletic - Grey test on Monday, October 3. Champion will meet a Red Devils squad coming off a 7-0 non-league loss to Heartland Christian (Columbiana, OH). The Red Devils record now stands at 1-13.
