In Friday's non-league game, the Texas City Stingarees (Texas City, TX) football team were victorious over the host Ball Tornadoes (Galveston, TX), by a score of 33-7.

The Stingarees (2-0) will now prepare for their game against Clear Lake (Houston, TX). The Falcons come into the non-league game with a 2-0 record. In their last game, Clear Lake knocked off La Porte (La Porte, TX), 34-28, in a non-league game.

The Tornadoes now sport a 0-2 record. They take the field next when they host Wheatley for a non-league game on Friday, September 10. Ball will battle a Wildcats team coming off a 56-14 non-league loss to Hamshire-Fannett (Hamshire, TX). The Wildcats record now stands at 1-1.
