September 30, 2021: Walker, LA 70785 In Thursday's non-league game, the East Ascension Spartans (Gonzales, LA) football team knocked off the host Walker Wildcats (Walker, LA), by a final score of 48-28.
The Spartans (1-2) will now prepare for their game against Catholic-B.R. (Baton Rouge, LA). The Bears come into the 5A District 5 game with a 5-0 record. In their last game, Catholic-B.R. toppled Lafayette Christian Academy (Lafayette, LA), 38-17, in a non-league game.
The Wildcats now hold a 2-2 record. They take the field next when they host Scotlandville for a 5A District 4 game on Friday, October 8. Walker will battle a Hornets team coming off a 41-32 non-league loss to De La Salle (New Orleans, LA). The Hornets record now stands at 1-3.
