California High School Volleyball - Fallbrook over Escondido
September 30, 2021: Fallbrook, CA 92028 Fans at Thursday's league battle between the Fallbrook Warriors (Fallbrook, CA) and the visiting Escondido Cougars (Escondido, CA), observed Fallbrook's volleyball team gain a win over Escondido by a final score of 3-0.
The Warriors (13-10) will now prepare for their battle against Mission Hills (San Marcos, CA). The Grizzlies come into the Valley battle with a 15-11 record. In their last battle, Mission Hills achieved victory over High Tech CV (Chula Vista, CA), 2-0, in a non-league battle.
Next, the Cougars clash with the Valley Center Jaguars (Valley Center, CA) in a Valley battle, on Tuesday, October 5. Escondido will attempt to upgrade on its 13-17 season record. The Jaguars go into the bout with a 8-13 record after their 3-2 league loss to San Pasqual (Escondido, CA).
Match Summary
Team started off in a slump by being down 5-1, serve receive and attack era's was the cause of Warrior's being down in 1st and 3rd sets. Change in back court personnel help increase our passing, but still not where we need it to be. As for our attack percentage with hit 34 percent on our balls in, which meant we had a 66 percent attack era rate. NOT GOOD! We did do any outstanding job and coming back in the 3rd set, we cannot put ourselves in that situations. Great come back!
