September 4, 2025: Cape Coral, FL 33914 Ida Baker Bulldogs (Cape Coral, FL) fans went home in high spirits Thursday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the visiting Palmetto Ridge Bears (Naples, FL), 22-8 in a non-league test.
The Bulldogs now hold a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host Gateway for a non-league test on Wednesday, September 10. Ida Baker will meet a Eagles squad coming off a 20-12 non-league loss to Riverdale (Fort Myers, FL). The Eagles record now stands at 0-2.
With the defeat, Palmetto Ridge drops to 0-1 on the campaign. The Bears host Aubrey Rogers (Naples, FL) to meet the Patriots in a non-league test on Thursday, September 11. The Patriots come into the test with a record of 0-1. Aubrey Rogers lost 48-6 in their recent non-league test against Estero (Estero, FL)
