Tennessee High School Soccer - Tennessee nudges Jefferson County
September 5, 2024: Bristol, TN 37620 Fans at Thursday's non-league battle between the Tennessee Vikings (Bristol, TN) and the visiting Jefferson County Patriots (Dandridge, TN), saw Tennessee's soccer squad hold off Jefferson County by a count of 3-2.
The Vikings (7-0) will now prepare for their battle against Sullivan East (Bluff City, TN). The Patriots enter the AA District 1 battle with a 2-2 record. In their last battle, Sullivan East was edged by Providence Academy (Johnson City, TN), 3-0, in a non-league battle.
Next up, the Patriots battle the Cooper Jaguars (Union, KY) in a non-league battle, on Saturday, September 7. Jefferson County will attempt to upgrade on its 2-4 season record. The Jaguars enter the battle with a 7-2 record after their 4-0 non-league win over Holy Cross (Covington, KY).
