In Friday's non-league challenge, the host Johnsburg Skyhawks football team scored a tight 7-6 win over the Addison Trail Blazers.

In their next game, the Skyhawks play the Richmond-Burton Rockets (Richmond, IL) in a Kishwaukee River challenge, on Friday, September 12. Johnsburg will attempt to improve on its 2-0 season record. The Rockets go into the challenge with a 2-0 record after their 24-20 non-league win over Coal City (Coal City, IL).
