Canyon Eagles (Canyon, TX) followers went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team tip the host Andrews Mustangs (Andrews, TX), 22-16 in a non-league battle.

With the win, Canyon advances its record to 2-0 on the season. The Eagles travel to Palo Duro (Amarillo, TX) to play the Dons in a non-league battle on Friday, September 12. The Dons go into the battle with a record of 1-1. Palo Duro won 48-0 in their recent non-league battle against Caprock (Amarillo, TX)

Coming up next, the Mustangs confront the Greenwood Rangers (Midland, TX) in a non-league match, on Friday, September 12. Andrews will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record. The Rangers come into the match with a 2-0 record after their 47-8 non-league win over Sweetwater (Sweetwater, TX).
