Arkansas High School Football - Lee Academy crushed by Benton Academy
September 5, 2025: Marianna, AR 72360 The Benton Academy Raiders walloped the host Lee Academy Cougars football team by a score of 36-0 in Friday's non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Raiders play the Calhoun Academy Cougars (Calhoun City, MS) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, September 12. Benton Academy will attempt to improve on its 1-2 season record. The Cougars go into the challenge with a 1-2 record after their 52-6 non-league win over North Sunflower Academy (Drew, MS).
With the defeat, Lee Academy drops to 0-2 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to DeSoto (West Helena, AR) to meet the Thunderbirds in a MAIS 8-Man 2A District 5 (8 Man) test on Friday, September 12. The Thunderbirds come into the test with a record of 2-1. DeSoto lost 52-16 in their recent non-league test against Humphreys Academy (Belzoni, MS)
