Spectators at Friday's non-league bout between the Downingtown East Cougars (Exton, PA) and the visiting Spring-Ford Rams (Royersford, PA), saw Downingtown East's football team nip Spring-Ford by a final score of 21-17.

With the win, Downingtown East advances its record to 2-1 on the season. The Cougars travel to Boyertown (Boyertown, PA) to encounter the Bears in a non-league bout on Thursday, September 11. The Bears go into the bout with a record of 2-1. Boyertown won 17-7 in their recent non-league bout against Avon Grove (West Grove, PA)

The Rams now own a 0-3 record. They play next when they travel to Downingtown West for a non-league contest on Friday, September 12. Spring-Ford will confront a Whippets squad coming off a 17-16 non-league loss to Perkiomen Valley (Collegeville, PA). The Whippets record now stands at 1-2.
