Montgomery Bears (Montgomery, TX) boosters left the game thrilled Friday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the visiting Bryan Vikings (Bryan, TX), 3-0 in a non-league test.

With the win, Montgomery improves its record to 26-7 on the season. The Bears host Rudder (Bryan, TX) to meet the Rangers in a 5A Region III District 17 challenge on Tuesday, September 9. The Rangers enter the challenge with a record of 13-17. Rudder lost 3-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Lake Belton (Temple, TX)

Next, the Vikings meet the Copperas Cove Bulldawgs (Copperas Cove, TX) in a 6A Region II District 12 challenge, on Tuesday, September 9. Bryan will attempt to upgrade on its 10-21 season record. The Bulldawgs enter the challenge with a 14-16 record after their 3-2 non-league win over Ellison (Killeen, TX).
