Georgia High School Softball - Toombs County bounces Treutlen
September 6, 2022: Soperton, GA 30457 The crowd at Tuesday's non-league match between the Toombs County Bulldogs (Lyons, GA) and the host Treutlen Vikings (Soperton, GA), saw Toombs County's softball squad achieve victory over Treutlen by a count of 11-0.
The Bulldogs now sport a 4-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Tattnall County for a 2A Region 3 match on Thursday, September 8. Toombs County will face a Warriors squad coming off a 2-1 league win over Pierce County (Blackshear, GA). The Warriors record now stands at 2-5.
With the loss, Treutlen falls to 1-6 on the campaign. The Vikings travel to Hawkinsville (Hawkinsville, GA) to face the Red Devils in a 1A D-II Region 4 match on Thursday, September 8. The Red Devils go into the battle with a record of 4-7. Hawkinsville lost 14-5 in their recent non-league battle against Perry (Perry, GA)
