The La Feria Lions (La Feria, TX) football knocked off the host Hidalgo Pirates (Hidalgo, TX), 27-14 in Friday's non-league outing.

The Lions now sport a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they host Raymondville for a non-league outing on Friday, September 13. La Feria will clash with a Bearkats squad coming off a 21-0 non-league win over Grulla (Rio Grande City, TX). The Bearkats record now stands at 1-1.
