Nevada High School Football - Fernley trounces Sparks

September 6, 2025: Fernley, NV 89408

In Saturday's league match, the host Fernley Vaqueros football squad scored a decisive 47-12 triumph over the Sparks Railroaders.

With the win, Fernley improves its record to 3-1 on the season. The Vaqueros travel to South Tahoe (South Lake Tahoe, CA) to play the Vikings in a 3A Northern battle on Friday, September 12. The Vikings go into the battle with a record of 3-1. South Tahoe won 33-0 in their recent league test against Dayton (Dayton, NV)

With the defeat, Sparks drops to 1-3 on the campaign. The Railroaders host Churchill County (Fallon, NV) to clash with the Greenwave in a 3A Northern test on Friday, September 12. The Greenwave come into the test with a record of 4-0. Churchill County won 42-0 in their recent league test against Truckee (Truckee, CA)
