In Saturday's non-league match, the Shakamak Lakers (Jasonville, IN) volleyball squad overcame the host Southwestern Spartans (Shelbyville, IN), by a count of 2-0.

Next up, the Lakers battle the Bloomfield Cardinals (Bloomfield, IN) in a match, on Wednesday, September 10. Shakamak will attempt to move on its 7-4 season record. The Cardinals come into the bout with a 0-1 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Sullivan (Sullivan, IN).
