Ohio High School Volleyball - Northview over Maumee
September 7, 2021: Sylvania, OH 43560 The Northview Wildcats (Sylvania, OH) volleyball overcame the visiting Maumee Panthers (Maumee, OH), 3-0 in Tuesday's league outing.
With the win, Northview upgrades its record to 4-2 on the year. The Wildcats travel to Steele (Amherst, OH) to face the Comets in a non-league outing on Saturday, September 11. The Comets go into the outing with a record of 8-2. Steele won 3-1 in their recent league outing against Olmsted Falls (Olmsted Falls, OH)
The Panthers now own a 2-4 record. They play next when they host Bowling Green for a Northern Lakes outing on Thursday, September 9. Maumee will face a Bobcats squad coming off a 3-0 league win over Napoleon (Napoleon, OH). The Bobcats record now stands at 3-2.

SYLVANIA - In the first Northern Lakes League match at home for Northview, the LadyKats were able to fight off Maumee three sets to zero, 27-25, 25-14, 26-24 moving Northview to 4-2 overall, 3-0 NLL.
Leading for Northview was junior outside hitter, Kamryn Hunt with a team high 19 kills - setting a school record for kills in a 3 set match - hitting .432 and junior outside hitter, Sydney Hires with 9 kills and 13 digs. Also playing a huge role in the offense was sophomore, middle blocker, Claire Smith with 6 kills hitting .308. Leading the offense for the LadyKats was sophomore setter, Natalie Kerchevall with 34 assist, 11 digs and 5 kills. Senior, Madi Taylor, led the defensive charge with a team high 15 digs.
Northview return to the court on Saturday as they travel to Amherst Steele for a Saturday night match; freshman start at 5:00 P.M., JV at 6:00 P.M. and Varsity at 7:30 P.M.
