In Saturday's non-league challenge, the visiting Independence Patriots volleyball team scored a close 1-0 triumph over the Yuma Catholic Shamrocks.

The Patriots (8-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Moon Valley (Phoenix, AZ). The Rockets come into the non-league challenge with a 3-1 record. In their last challenge, Moon Valley edged Glendale (Glendale, AZ), 3-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Shamrocks meet the Pinecrest Academy Cadence Cougars (Henderson, NV) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, September 7. Yuma Catholic will attempt to upgrade on its 2-4 season record. The Cougars come into the challenge with a 4-2 record after their 3-0 non-league win over American Heritage Academy (Henderson, NV).
